Software Test Engineer  

 As the selected Software Test Engineer, you’ll join an expert team where you’ll work on the test development and support of embedded platforms used within energy efficient server and storage systems. 

The company have recently received an additional £5million in new investment and are going through a large round of expansion to support their quest to revolutionise data centres.    

Responsibilities for the role of Software Test Engineer will include: 

• Develop and test cases at user space level on Linux.   
• Develop test cases to validate EOL production.  
• Interact with the hardware team and factory to advise and provide them with different test suites.  
• Debug and advice of fault cases.   
• Benchmarking of the products.  

As the selected Software Test Engineer, your skills and experience should include:  

• Experience in either C, C++ or Python.  
• Engineering level Degree or relevant experience.  
• Experience of Open Source software, Linux build processes, deployment and testing.  
• Knowledge and experience of Linux file system structures, scripting and configuration.  
• Documentation and version control  
• Hands-on experience of system-level testing and benchmarking.  
• Proven product development track record.  

Valued Experience  

• DVT cycle.   
• High speed Network Switch Configuration.  
• Knowledge of networking protocols.
