My client is going through an exciting round of expansion and is looking to add a number of Engineers to their System Test Team, to enable continued improvement of their industry leading product range and to meet future requirements of upcoming projects. The scope would be to do system testing of product offering and be able to automate the testing.

Responsibilities for the role of Software Test Engineer will include:   

• Automation test development
• Execution of manual testing
• Documentation of software for peer review
• Writing good test specifications in test management tools
• Defect tracking and closure
• Performance and stress testing
• Learning new technologies relevant to the projects
• Deliver tests to agreed time and quality targets

As the selected Software Test Engineer, your experience should include most of the following:    

• Degree in a numerate / computer science related subject
• Industry experience and success in a challenging test role
• Working knowledge of Linux Operating Systems
• Proven experience of writing automated tests
• Experience of Setting up of Test Environments
• Measurable track record of testing complex systems
• Experience of testing Web applications and associated APIs
• Experience with common test automation design patterns, practices, tools, and frameworks
• Experience of Test scripting, Test design, Test plans and Test analysis
• Experience testing non-functional requirements
