Senior RF Engineer
The Company
My client is a global leader in the design and manufacture of critical communications systems which are supplied to a global client base. The is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RF Engineer to join a small but expert team where you’ll work on technically challenging but very rewarding projects.
Responsibilities for the role of Senior RF Engineer will include:
- Requirements capture, architecture and design
- Modelling and simulation
- PCB layout and specification
- Prototype PCB evaluation and troubleshooting
- Hardware integration and test
- Test plan and execution
- Participating in project review meeting
- Mentoring Junior Engineers and training other Engineers
As the selected Senior RF Engineer, your experience should include most of the following:
- RF circuit design, prototyping and development
- Industry and success using different development approaches, practical application/experience in design and development lifecycle and experience of multiple projects
- Analogue and digital circuit design, prototyping and development
- Circuit simulation
- Understanding of communications modulation techniques
- Altium PCB CAD software
- Digital Signal Processing techniques
- An understanding of network technologies
- Experience using scripting languages e.g. python and tcl
- Experience in a design engineering position, including being in a senior position with project team-leading experience
- Methodical approach with communication and planning skills
- Introduction of new products into a manufacturing environment
- Experience of the full product development lifecycle
Salary is between £50,000 to £80,000, plus a benefit package that includes hybrid/remote working, 25 days annual leave, company 10% pension scheme (they contribute 6%), private medical insurance, life assurance 4x salary, continuous training and development, employee reward and recognition scheme, employee assistance programme and BUPA wellbeing services.
